  • Is Fahey Dreher Casting a Talent Agency?
    • Fahey Dreher Casting is a Casting Company.  We are not a Talent Agent or a Modeling Agency, we do not represent actors or seek out work for them.  We work directly with studios, production companies, ad agencies etc. to locate talent for their projects.
  • How do you find talent for projects?
    • We look for actors everywhere mainly by attending theatre productions around the area.  We then keep our own files and look through them for the appropriate actors to fit a clients needs and we contact talent agencies for additional people.
  • How much does it cost to work with Fahey Dreher Casting?
    • There is no charge for talent to work with us.  Please be wary of an agency who asks you for money.
  • Do I have to sign an exclusive contract with Fahey Dreher Casting?
    • We do not require talent to sign an exclusive contract with Fahey Dreher Casting.   
  • Do I have to have experience as an actor or model?
    • Not necessarily, however, we will call in more experienced actors first for some projects.  Some projects require special talents or a certain look so the more current your picture and the more detailed your resume, the better your chance of being called in for an audition.
  • Do I have to submit pictures taken by a professional?
    • Professional pictures are best but not necessary when just starting out.  GOOD, CLEAR, RECENT, COLOR digital pictures work just fine until you can afford professional pictures.  Please submit them in JPEG format only.
  • What should the pictures look like?
    • Adults:  The picture should look like YOU, wear a color that makes your face pop.  DON'T wear a lot of make-up, the client wants to see what you look like.  DON'T wear hats or sunglasses. DO smile - the clients love teeth, especially for commercial work.  Color photos are BEST.  Have a couple looks, corporate, business casual, athletic (if you've got the body).  Remember - it's all about truth in advertising.  The picture is usually the first thing the client sees - they pick you based on that - if you show up looking differently chances are very high that you won't get the job and they may not want to see you again for anything in the future.
    • Children:  Color photos are BEST.  The picture should look like YOU, wear a color that makes your face pop.  DON'T wear make-up unless you are of age, the client wants to see what you look like.  DON'T have food on your face.  DON'T wear hats or sunglasses.   • Does Fahey Dreher Casting meet with actors for interviews?
    • No, we meet with actors when auditions come up, so make sure your pictures and resumes are updated every 6 months to 1 year and keep in touch via email, no phone calls please.
  • What if I have sent my information to Fahey Dreher Casting and haven't heard anything?
    • We receive dozens of submissions each day.  Our priority is working on jobs for our clients, so we cannot always get to the New Talent file right away.  You should receive an email once your file has been opened - this generally takes 4-6 weeks, sometimes less sometimes more.  If you have not received a confirmation email in 8 weeks please email us a reminder.  Please DO NOT CALL our office.
